As my designs have developed I've moved to drafting and nearly always using patterns. Originally I rarely used patterns preferring to make them one offs and draw designs directly onto material.
I still make the odd one by this method but mostly my bags are recognisable designs. For this reason I'm going to name my patterns. I thought about names and as I frequently motorcycle up the west coast and highlands of Scotland and decided to name them for my favorite places.
The "Kincraig" is a small/medium sized Harris Tweed backpack type bag mixed with wool tartan.
The "Invergarry" is a medium sized Harris Tweed backpack with cotton adjustable handles.
The "Shieldaig" is a large tote type bag with a short strap and long shoulder strap that can be worn together or separately. It comes in 2 contrasting Harris Tweeds and has lots on interior space.
The "Kylesku" is a small sized Harris Tweed bag with wrist strap and front embellishment.
The "Lochinver" is a variation of the "Kylesku" but comes with an adjustable shoulder strap.
The "Plockton" is a large full sized Harris Tweed laptop messenger style bag.
The "Portree" is a medium sized Harris Tweed shoulder bag/messenger bag, with adjustable strap.
The "Crinan" is a unisex Harris Tweed washbag with waterproof lining and full length zip.
